How Can An Ashanti Use ‘Juju’ to Kill An Ewe? Nana Ama McBrown Rubbishes Allegations of Being Behind Suzzy Williams’ Death

Popular Ghanaian actress and TV personality Nana Ama McBrown has addressed persistent rumors suggesting she was involved in the death of actress Suzzy Williams, who tragically passed away in the early 2000s.

Speaking on her show, Onua Showtime, McBrown categorically dismissed the allegations, describing them as unfounded and bizarre. She expressed disbelief over the long-held claims, particularly highlighting their illogical nature.

“I find it strange that I, an Ashanti, would be accused of using ‘juju’ to kill an Ewe. It makes no sense,” McBrown said, adding that she was deeply affected by Suzzy’s passing.

A Close Bond with Suzzy Williams

McBrown revealed that she shared a close friendship with Suzzy Williams at the time and was devastated upon hearing the news of her untimely death. She noted that during those years, she was an upcoming actress and far from being in competition with Suzzy, who was already a household name in the Ghanaian film industry.

“I was just happy to be on set back then. Sometimes, I wasn’t even paid. I didn’t know anything about competing for roles,” McBrown explained, emphasizing her inexperience in the industry during Suzzy’s peak.

A Painful Loss

Reflecting on the tragic moment, McBrown recounted how she had just returned to Ghana from Italy when she learned of Suzzy Williams’ passing. She described the news as shocking and painful, as she greatly admired Suzzy’s talent and charisma.

Putting the Rumors to Rest

Nana Ama McBrown’s comments come as a response to years of speculation and accusations that she described as baseless. She used the platform to urge Ghanaians to let go of such unfounded stories and focus on celebrating Suzzy Williams’ legacy rather than tarnishing others’ reputations.

Suzzy Williams, known for her vibrant roles in movies, died in a car accident in 2005 at the age of 23. Her death sent shockwaves through the Ghanaian entertainment industry and left a lasting void among her fans and colleagues.

With McBrown’s recent clarification, she hopes to finally lay the rumors to rest and honor the memory of her late friend.
