Court orders for the Ghanaian & US passports of Bishop Amoako Salifu’s son

The Juvenile Court in Accra has directed that both the Ghanaian and US passports of Bishop Salifu Amoako’s 16-year-old son be submitted as part of his bail conditions. This order comes following the teenager’s first court appearance on November 1, 2024, after his alleged involvement in a tragic East Legon accident that resulted in two fatalities.

To ensure compliance, the passports are to be deposited in court by today, November 4, 2024. The court’s decision aims to prevent any attempt to leave the country while investigations are ongoing.

Bishop Salifu Amoako and his wife have already appeared before the court in connection with the incident, as authorities proceed with an in-depth investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident. Following his appearance, the teenage defendant has been remanded into custody until his next court date on November 7, 2024.
