Bawumia to outline vision for Ghana’s education in a meeting with Parents, students on Nov 10

Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer, is set to deliver a major address on November 10, 2024, outlining his vision for Ghana’s youth and his commitment to educational programs. The speech, directed at key education stakeholders, including parents and students, will focus on enhancing opportunities and skill-building for young Ghanaians.

In an official statement from his spokesperson, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, Dr. Bawumia reaffirmed his dedication to the Free Senior High School (SHS) and Free Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) initiatives, which have expanded educational access for thousands of Ghanaians. “We understand the importance of Free SHS to parents and young people across Ghana. My commitment is to not only protect this program but to expand it to cover the skill-based learning many of our youth need,” Bawumia said recently.

The address is expected to emphasize the role of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education in preparing youth for Ghana’s evolving job market. “This engagement will focus on empowering our youth with job-ready skills,” Aboagye noted, underscoring the NPP’s priority on skill development.

This broadcast marks Dr. Bawumia’s second major address to youth in recent weeks, underscoring his focus on education as a cornerstone of his campaign and his vision for Ghana’s future.
